I created my little Rabbit Rescue at the beginning of 2021.

I had rescued for a few years before this but came to the conclusion I needed to make it official this year as more Rabbits were finding their way to me and there was no specific Rabbit rescue here in Launceston.

'The Warren Inn' was my chosen name because I am from Devon in the UK and there is a pub there with this name :)

I run the rescue from my Launceston home. Rabbits are first quarantined and checked for any signs of disease, then vaccinated. They can then have a friend and run in the Bunny garden and get desexed when appropriate and then adopted out to the perfect home.

I only adopt Rabbits out to loving, family homes, preferably indoor but I allow outdoor homes that have a good set up.

I highly recommend giving buns time to settle in or bond with your existing bunny, but please know I will always take them back if it doesn't work out. I just want the best home for that Rabbit.

I do offer help with bonding Rabbits and I can also have them back for boarding given I have the space ♥

Health and temperament checked

Desexed

Microchipped

Vaccinated

Flea, Worm and Mite treated

All Rabbits are $300 to adopt, this helps me cover some vet fees and food costs.

Rabbits come with a care guide, one bag of Oxbow pellets and bag of Hay.

I offer ongoing support, will always take Rabbits back and can help with bonding if you have an existing Rabbit.

All Rabbits that I adopt out are..

Holly

My original Bun, my first Bun love, my girl ♥

Holly is 6 years young, she was passed over the fence to me when she was 8 weeks, my neighbour bred bunnies and I had never even thought about getting a Rabbit!

She is how this all started and she is a beautiful girl. I still update her breeder and we are friends, I got lucky with my Holly 🐰

Hazel (rip)

Hazel was my second Rabbit. I got him at 8 weeks and he was a beautiful boy from day 1.

bought him to be a companion for my Holly when she was a year but she absolutely hated him!!!

I managed to bond them 4 years later haha!

He passed away at 5 years, I just found him one morning forever asleep  in his bed :(

Dandelion

(Permanent Resident)

I came across this girl via a Facebook post, I offered my help to someone and received a message from Dandelion's family asking if I could take her on.

She was my first 'RescueBun'.

The family weren't able to handle her, the ,kids were scared of her and she was living in a hutch and not having much fun.

I took her in and soon realised she was a free spirit and I couldn't pass her on as she would need an extremely experienced owner and no children. I let her settle and quarantine, then I decided to see if she liked any of my Rabbits, it took some time but she made friends with Holly and then my Hazel and she copes with Nymeria but still tells Nymeria who's boss every now and then!

She's an absolute darling but she just wants to do her own thing, I think she has life pretty good, I just leave her to it and if I need to pick her up to check her or trim nails, I can. She hates it, but I can!

Nymeria

(Permanent Resident)

Nymeria came to me when I fostered for the RSPCA, she was a small kit and needed fostering until she was old enough to be desexed and reomed. She won my heart and that is that really!
